Safety & Trust
Every journey is designed with care, ensuring travellers feel safe, supported, and respected from start to finish.
Connection to Nature
We value the power of South Africa’s landscapes and wildlife to inspire awe, reflection, and a sense of belonging.
Personalisation
No two travellers are the same and we craft each trip to reflect your pace, your passions, and your sense of wonder.
Local Empowerment
Our guides and partners are proud locals who share their home with heart. We uplift communities by creating meaningful opportunities.
Sustainability
We aim to leave places better than we found them by treading lightly, supporting conservation, and promoting responsible travel.
Our Mission
To guide meaningful journeys through South Africa’s wild beauty, safely and soulfully. Led by locals who know its landscapes, respect its rhythms, and share its essence. We aim to connect travellers to the spirit of the land, her stories, and the natural world that defines it.
To redefine how the world explores South Africa and to be the leading travel company that inspires deeper connections to its land, people, and wild beauty - one journey at a time.
Our Vision

Our Story

Khutšo Travel is a proudly South African company and we want to share what we love most about South Africa with the world. Alex and Declan are both Qualified Field Guides and the founders of Khutšo Travel. They first met at the Selati Game Reserve while training to be guides, this is where they learnt of their shared love for wildlife, nature and conservation.
Later on they came to work together running a small tour operator in the Kruger National Park where they hosted guided game drives and private dining experiences. After parting ways and each going to guide in other parts of South Africa, they began discussing what they missed most about working together which is where the idea for Khutšo Travel was born. The plan was simple: go back to basics and show people what we love most about South Africa.
